Preparing a home for sale can be a daunting task, often involving time-sensitive and overwhelming responsibilities. Homeowners are often advised to declutter and depersonalize their space to help potential buyers visualize their own items in the home.

For clients planning to sell in the future but feeling overwhelmed by the preparation tasks, Home Transition Specialists Inc™ provides full-service teams to expedite the process, allowing them to take advantage of the market sooner.

Additionally, preparing the home of a deceased loved one can be emotionally challenging and time-consuming. Home Transition Specialists Inc™ offers compassionate and professional services, including customizable packages, to help the Executor(s) manage the sorting, distribution, and disposal of items, ensuring a respectful and efficient preparation of the property.

Moving is ranked as one of the number one stressors in one’s life. It is especially complicated and stressful for those that do not have help or support. If you’re a Real Estate Professional working with a client that does not have the help and support that is required to prepare their home for sale and/or to move, we can help.

Let Home Transition Specialists Inc. ™ help your valued client get organized for their upcoming move.

  • Prep-For-Sale Consultation and Plan: For clients who have the time, capability, and support to handle the prep work independently but need guidance and a structured plan.

    Includes:

    • 1.5 hours with one HT Specialist

    • A prep-for-sale assessment for each room of the home.

    • An action plan outlining recommendations and/or solutions for sorting, packing, decluttering, organizing, and/or storage.

    • Referral for professional repairs if required.

    • $250 +hst

    *Client and their support team is responsible for completing the recommendations.

    **Once the client is finished the home is ready for staging, photos, and listing.

    1. Prep for Sale / Depersonalize Session(s):

    It is a well-known strategy that depersonalizing a home before listing allows potential buyers a ‘clean slate’ for them to envision their family photos, preferred artwork, and décor in each room of the home.

    This Package starts at $475 + hst and includes:

    • 3 hours (one half day) with 2 HT Specialists

    • Pack all personal photos, decor, knick-knacks, and valuables.

    • All boxes and contents are inventoried, labelled, and ready for storage.

    • Walls and rooms are ready for small repairs, painting, staging, photos, and listing.

    • Boxes and packing supplies additional cost to the client.

    • Referrals can be provided if small repairs are required before staging, photos, and listing.

    • Additional hours can be purchased by the client.

    1. Prep For Sale / Sort & Donate Session(s) - Ideal for clients who need assistance with sorting and purging before they can begin decluttering, depersonalizing, and packing. This service expedites the preparation process for listing their home.

    This package starts at $950 +hst and includes:

    • 6 hours (one day) with 2 HT Specialists  

    • Set up designated sorting area(s).

    • Sorting is done with the client(s).

    • Focus on the areas of the home that are key to staging needs.

    • ·Removal of all donations.

    • ·Documentation of all items donated provided to the client.

    • Additional hours can be purchased by the client if required.

    • Upon completion, the client is responsible for packing their “keep” items and the home is ready for staging, photos, and listing.

    1. Prep For Sale / Declutter Session(s) - This service is for clients that may have excessive collections (beyond knick-knacks and décor items) and/or areas of the home that are ‘full’ and unseen. Such as closets, storage areas, kitchens, basements, and garages.

    These packages are ideal for clients that are physically unable to pack these areas themselves.

    Seniors may not be able to reach the top cupboards in the kitchen or access their basement if there are stairs or poor lighting.

    The homeowner may not have the time to tackle these overwhelming areas within their deadline.

    These packages start at and can range from $475 to $950 +hst (or more depending on the size of the room and/or quantity of items)

    • 3 to 6 hours (1/2 day to 1 full day)

    • 2 HT Specialists

    • Reduce the amount of "stuff" by 70% in the closets, basement, garage, kitchen(s), other storage areas.

    • Pack non-essential items.

    • All boxes and contents are inventoried, labelled, and ready for storage.

    • Rooms/space is ready for staging, photos, listing, and ‘client showings’.

    • Boxes and packing supplies additional cost to the client.*

    • Additional hours can be purchased by the client.

Moving and Asset Management Services for Professionals

    • Sort items (with the client)

    • Pack and distribute donations and gifts

    • Provide professional packing, and unpacking (if the moving company does not provide this service)

    • Garbage and Waste Removal

    • Miscellaneous, utility transfer, Document shredding, auto transportation, pet care

    • Final Cleaning

  • Home Transition Specialists Inc™ can provide Move-In Services for your client, creating their new living space to reflect their old living space.

    This helps people with disabilities chronic health conditions, and/or seniors transition with ease, less stress and anxiety, and feel at home in their new space.
